@STUDIO47 Children’s Choir
We are thrilled to announce our concerts on 22 December, headlined by celebrated former Royal Harpist Claire Jones and renowned Westend Percussionist and Composer Chris Marshall. They have topped the Classical charts and will be joined this Christmas by special guests the Claire Jones Harp Ensemble who celebrate the launch of their brand new album recorded at Abbey Road Studios London. The ensemble has toured internationally and includes members from all of the top conservatoires in the UK and major National Orchestras of Great Britain and Wales.
The concert will also feature Welsh singers Sioned Llewelyn, Esyllt Thomas and Samantha Fountain. They have performed internationally, played for Royalty and performed with some of the most celebrated musicians of our age.
Sioned, Esyllt and Samantha lead the choral division of @STUDIO47, mentoring the very first @STUDIO47 children’s choir who will perform well known Christmas classics on the night.
The Harp Ensemble programme will include Palladio by Karl Jenkins, Lion King, Mission Impossible, Libertango, Toss the Feathers and a special commission from Welsh Composer Chris Marshall ‘Andalucia’.
The Choir programme will feature a special ’Sweet medley’ of favourites from the shows, welsh traditional Christmas songs and carols. And promises to be a truly magical and memorable performance suitable for all the family.
