Brazilian jazz has created many iconic hits with Bossa Nova and Samba being the most popular expression of the beach life in Rio and its surroundings. This evening we have given the floor to a group of graduates from the Royal College of Music in Wales who will be performing four concerts as part of a residency. Their quintet is Halfway and comprise piano, guitar, flute, base and drums fronted by a singer. This is music to listen and dance to famous hits such as Girl from Ipanema and Desafinado.
