Choral enthusiasts and those involved in the world of choral competitions will no doubt be familiar with Côr CF1 ( eck ef een) which started out as a youth choir and has evolved to become one of Wales’ leading mixed-voice choirs. Under the direction of Eilir Owen the choir is especially known for promoting the Welsh language and, as a passionate advocate for Welsh composers, regularly commissions and performs new music. Celebrating their 20th anniversary in 2022, the 40-strong group were crowned Choir of the World at the Llangollen International Eisteddfod this year with a programme of Welsh, French and Russian songs.,
