Born in Carmarthen and brought up in Pembrokeshire, Brian’s life has taken him from Oxford and Durham University to the frozen wilderness of Antarctica and on expeditions to Iceland and Greenland. He became a geographer, writer, environmental campaigner and passionate chronicler of the Pembrokeshire landscape and its people. He founded Eco Centre Wales, wrote more than 90 books and created the much-loved Angel Mountain novels. But behind the achievements are the stories — the adventures, encounters, friendships, eccentricities and unexpected turns that make a life memorable.
