WildlifeKate is a wildlife enthusiast and educator who shares her passion for nature through various mediums. Her work primarily focuses on connecting people with nature through technology, education, and media. Renowned for her innovative use of cameras to capture live footage of wildlife, she sets up cameras in various locations, including bird feeders, nests, and wildlife habitats, providing viewers with a real-time glimpse into the lives of animals.  She was the first to have filmed a wild badger give birth, in a sett she built, rigged with cameras.
Kate frequently appears on television, radio and podcasts to discuss wildlife and conservation topics, including how she captures the footage of wildlife from her plethora of cameras.  Featuring on BBC Springwatch, Autumnwatch, Countryfile plus numerous other TV wildlife programmes, she shares her expertise, enthusiasm and engaging style.
Kate’s talk will share some of the incredible footage she has captured over the years, including stories from her 3 acre site in Carmarthenshire that she moved to in September 2023. She will share some of her techniques and show some of the readily available kit that we can easily buy to start capturing our own footage in and round our gardens!
