Merched y Môr are four ordinary Welsh women who dared to take on an extraordinary challenge: rowing 3,000 miles across the Atlantic Ocean. What started as a dream became an unforgettable adventure that tested their resilience, friendship and determination, while raising over £70,000 for charity.
Join us for a warm, honest and entertaining evening as the team shares the real story behind their journey. Through personal stories, stunning photographs and exclusive video footage captured during the crossing, you’ll experience the highs and lows of life in a 9.6-metre rowing boat, from breathtaking sunrises and encounters with marine life to storms, exhaustion and the challenge of spending weeks far from home.
This interactive talk offers the chance to ask questions and discover what it really takes to cross an ocean powered only by teamwork, courage and determination. Inspirational, humorous and deeply personal, it’s a story of adventure, friendship and what can happen when ordinary people dare to do something extraordinary.
