West Wales’ most exciting Music and Arts Venue
Located in the Teifi Valley, Pembrokeshire and close to the borders of Ceredigion and Carmarthen, Neuadd y Dderwen (The Oak Hall) is constructed from green oak in keeping with a centuries old tradition of craftmanship. The building has been fitted with the latest technology featuring a Bose P.A and digital projection, designed with acoustic music in mind. We have our own beautiful Steinway concert grand piano. The venue delights both audiences and performers, seating up to 250 people. Catrin Finch, Shan Cothi, Maddy Prior, The Academy of St Martins, are some of the many performers who have played here.
Neuadd y Dderwen has a minimum carbon footprint using ground source heating and a 60 panel photo voltaic array. With our state of the art kitchen we can cater for up to 150 people. We offer a bar for evening functions, and for many of our events we offer supper in the Orangery – a fabulous start to a memorable evening.
On warm spring or summer evenings you might also enjoy a wander in the grounds: Neauadd y Dderwen is situated in the grounds of Rhosygilwen Mansion, 50 acres of delightful gardens. More information about Rhosygilwen can be found at Rhosygilwen: a Pembrokeshire Retreat.
Rhosygilwen is licensed for weddings and civil partnerships. It is a fantastic place for private functions and business events, whether you just need rooms for a day or you are interested in hiring the whole Estate for your conference or event.
Accommodation on the Estate can be provided and we can arrange extra rooms with local businesses and transport if required for attendees. Free Wi-Fi is available.
We are happy to discuss proposals from theatre groups, music societies and other arts organisations about using Rhosygilwen to stage productions and performances.
