Please check your tickets carefully as mistakes cannot always be rectified after the event.

No administration charge will apply in these circumstances.

If there is a material change to the content or cast of a show, a full or partial refund may be offered at the discretion of Menter Rhosygilwen.

A ‘material’ change is a change, which, in our reasonable opinion, makes the event materially different to the event that purchasers of the ticket, taken generally, could reasonably expect. The use of understudies in a theatre performance shall not be a material change.

Generally no ticket price will be refunded when more than half the performance has taken place, or if the interval has been reached.

If you are unable to attend a performance for which you have purchased tickets, Menter Rhosygilwen may, at their own discretion, offer to exchange the ticket for another event. All ticket exchanges are subject to availability of seats.

What we do with administration and transaction charges

Menter Rhosygilwen is an independent, registered charity operating not-for-profit. Administration and transaction charges go towards supporting the venue directly, and enables us to offer our own in-house sales service without relying on external agencies

Bringing Children and Young People to the Theatre

Menter Rhosygilwen welcomes patrons of all ages to the venue.

Our policy is to allow children* of all ages to attend productions, taking into account any age recommendations the event may carry. When patrons wish to visit Menter Rhosygilwen with children, we ask them to follow specific guidelines that are designed to ensure that everyone visiting the venue will have an enjoyable experience.

General guidelines

Patrons should be aware that the hall is built in order to amplify sound. This means that noise from the audience is also amplified and can affect the enjoyment of fellow patrons, and the concentration of the performers. Small noises such as the rustling of sweet papers or a small child talking or whimpering can be heard throughout the hall.

Parents should be aware that many of our productions are aimed at an adult audience and may contain, for example, loud music or adult language.

When we feel it necessary, an age recommendation for an event will be indicated on the Menter Rhosygilwen website. However where this is shown it is intended to be a guideline only and we expect that parents will make their own decision on whether or not a performance may be suitable for their particular child.

The lack of any age recommendation for any Event on Menter Rhosygilwen web site should not be taken as meaning the it is suitable for all ages, and parents are advised to seek clarification in the event information on the website or to contact the Box Office to ask specific questions before booking tickets. Menter Rhosygilwen cannot be held responsible if a parent decides after the fact that an event was not suitable for their particular child and refunds will not be given.

We ask that parents do not bring very young children or children who may be disruptive to see quiet events unless the age guidance suggests it is suitable for younger children.

Should a child of any age become disruptive the adult will be asked to remove them from the performance. Refunds for missed performances will not be given.

All children under 13 attending a performance must be accompanied by an adult at all times. Children under 13 are not allowed in the bar area during the interval.

*For the purpose of this document a child is considered to be under 16 years of age.
