Violinist Charlie Lovell-Jones plays his debut concert at Rhosygilwen.

Under the guidance of the eminent British Violinist Rodney Friend MBE, former Leader of the London and New York Philharmonic Orchestras, Charlie Lovell-Jones has performed as soloist with the BBC National Orchestra of Wales, the RTE Concert Orchestra and the English Chamber Orchestra.

A recent String Finalist in the BBC Young Musician of the Year, Charlie debuted in the Royal Festival Hall aged 15 playing the Lark Ascending. Charlie is a former member of NYO and Leader of the NCO and is delighted to play a Guadagnini supplied by J & Arthur Beare, and loaned by a generous benefactor.

PRE CONCERT SUPPERS To celebrate the music of Schubert we will have some classical Austrian Cuisine.

Friday 20th,
Tafelspitz and Griessnockerl, (Boiled Beef and Semolina Egg dumplings)
Served with roasted potatoes, braised Savoy cabbage and horseradish
Vegetarians, roasted squash with Walnuts, red onions, pears, goats cheese….
Apple Strudel with Vanilla cream sauce.
Saturday 21st
As Schubert had strong ties to Hungary, we will have a chicken goulash,
Roasted Potatoes and Kale with celery and red onions
Vegetarians, vegetable Goulash.
Buchteln Sweet apricot rolls and vanilla sauce.
Sunday 22nd
A roast Sunday lunch with Roast Beef, Yorkshire puddings and horseradish or Roast chicken, apple sauce and stuffing, served with Roasted potatoes, garlic and rosemary, Roast parsnips, roasted carrots, purple sprouting broccoli and gravy.
