Actors, soloists, choral singers, and folk musicians will present a semi-staged production in both Welsh and English,
Born in Rhymney in 1905, Idris Davis worked as a miner for seven years. His poems give voice to “Dai the Miner” and other characters. Many have been set to music, most famously Pete Seeger’s version of “Bells of Rhymney.” Also featured will be folk songs and hymns that Davies heard as a child.
