Here's an example itinerary - but there's so much to do around here we're sure that there's something to suit everyone.
Did you know that the West Wales Coast was voted the greatest region on earth by the Lonely Planet guides in 2012?
Arrive in time for lunch and spend the afternoon exploring Cardigan. A riverside town, just 5 miles from Rhosygilwen, Cardigan castle has been undergoing extensive renovation. If the weather is warm wander down through St Dogmael's to the coast at Poppit Sands, or perhaps go and see the tiny 12th Century chapel overlooking the coast at Mwnt.
Whatever you do, save some energy for the evening. Starting with a salsa workshop to get everyone in the spirit, enjoy a diverse evening of entertainment at Rhosygilwen. Headline act Palenke, an all singing band featuring Adriana Santana the 'Queen of Salsa', supported by Irish storyteller Niall Deburca and Welsh harmony trio the Aberporth Triawd. Something different for this Easter? You bet!
Relax and enjoy the programme knowing that your accommodation for the night is only a short walk away. The bar at Rhosygilwen will open at least an hour before the performances.
If you would like to buy Festival tickets for one or more events and don't need accommodation, then you can purchase these online today...
After a leisurely breakfast, stroll around the beautiful grounds of Rhosygilwen Mansion, 50 acres including a restored Victorian walled garden and tennis courts. If you don't want to travel too far today, perhaps a visit to our neighbours, the Welsh Wildlife Centre might be in order. For the more energetic, it might be possible to hire canoes and explore the Teifi Valley by paddling along the river this afternoon. Canoe hire is seasonally available from a hire company at the wildlife centre.
If you didn't make it to Cardigan on Friday then today it's well worth a visit. A family day of entertainment takes place on 30th March at the Small World Theatre, with a storyteller at 11am and at 2.30pm 'Tales from the Taiga’ uses shadow puppetry, giant creatures, storytelling, music and lighting to create an enchanting performance for children and their families. Stay in town for lunch in between, enjoying local produce from a range of outlets to suit all budgets.
If you want to explore a little further afield while everyone's open for business this Easter Saturday, then Newport (Pembrokeshire) is an interesting little place that has a number of arts and crafts galleries - such as the Newport Collective shop. The coast at Newport is beautiful.
Another option, not on the coast ths time but with more shopping to enjoy, is Narberth, just under 20 miles away.
Whatever you decide to do, again save some energy for our rip-roaring evening Swinging with the Cotton Club, an action-packed show celebrating the music, dance, and songs of the Cotton Club – New York City’s famous nightclub of the 1920s and ‘30s. Featuring the Jiving Lindy Hoppers and the Harry Strutters Hot Rhythm Orchestra, take a step back into 1920 & '30s New York City and through the doors of Harlem's hottest nightclub, the fabulous 'Cotton Club'! This spectacular show is normally a sell out on tour, we feel extremely privileged to be able to bring this event to rural Pembrokeshire. Don't forget to book in for supper this evening - it's going to be a hot hot night at Rhosygilwen whatever the weather!
We celebrate Easter Sunday with a special concert as part of Music Without Frontiers Festival. Easter Sunday lunch - a traditional roast dinner - will be served from 12.30 pm, and the concert is taking place late afternoon at 4pm. Today really is the day to kick back and relax, enjoying the surrounds of Rhosygilwen Mansion and gardens. If you are joining us today, don't forget to make your reservation for lunch.
The Chamber Philharmonic Europe orchestra, based in Cologne, are a professional ensemble engaging the most talented young musicians from 18 European nations. Last year saw the Chamber Philharmonic Europe perform over 70 concerts worldwide in many reputed concert halls and opera houses, including Théatre des Bouffes-Parisiens (Paris), De Munt Oper (Brussels), Koninklijk Theater Carré (Amsterdam), St. Mary's Cathedral (Edinburgh), Grand Théatre de la Ville (Luxemburg), Tonhalle (Duesseldorf), Palladium (Malmö), Gürzenich (Cologne) and Konzerthaus (Berlin).
After yesterday's relaxation, perhaps it's time for more exploration of the West Wales countryside. A bracing walk on the Preseli Hills might be in order today. If you are more of a culture vulture, and you would enjoy a costal drive, you could consider a trip to Aberystwyth, a University town, home to the National Library of Wales and the Aberystwyth Arts Centre.
Did you know that Aberystwyth has the largest number of books per head of population in the world? Thanks to the presence of the National Library of Wales.
Our evening programme is headed by the Circle of Sound. Taking you on a breathtaking audio-visual journey through India and Europe, 'Circle of Sound' is the story of how two men overleap cultural borders to find a unified language in music. For this event, for the first time Soumik Datta and Bernhard Schimpelsberger have invited Nigerian beat poet Inua Ellams to join them for this exciting musical adventure.
Opening the evening we have Henry Sears (fiddle) and George Whitfield (accordion)
Make a reservation for the evening too, as Glen Peters, the owner of Rhosygilwen, has promised to share some secrets from his mother's own authentic recipe book for this evening's Indian themed pre-concert supper.
